Unfortunately, due to low ticket sales, EM-Con Derby will not be going ahead. This was a very difficult decision to make as we weighed up a number of factors impacting the general state of the convention industry.
At EM-Con we pride ourselves in putting on events that are of the very highest quality, and unfortunately a number of factors meant we would be unable to deliver an event at Derby that matched the level our attendees expect and deserve. We apologies to anyone who was planning to attend.
Refunds for tickets will be processed automatically by Gigantic. Photoshoot refunds will be processed this week.
We also apologise for the way this news was released, being shared by a number of groups before we could make a statement ourselves and while we busied ourselves notifying ticket sellers, agents and other parties prior to a planned announcement on Monday.
EM-Con Nottingham will be going ahead in May 2020 as planned and is not affected by the decision to cancel Derby.
