News from
The Yorkshire Vet

" Hi everyone, we’ve got some landmark Yorkshire Vet news …

After providing the voice over for every episode since it started in 2015, Christopher Timothy won’t be narrating the series when we return next Tuesday. Christopher and his wife are self isolating, and his current focus is on them both staying safe. He told us that it was the hardest decision he’s ever had to make, but it’s one we fully understand and support.

However, we are proud to announce that taking up the mantle is Christopher’s former All Creatures Great And Small co-star, Peter Davison. Christopher and Peter have chatted on the phone about it and Christopher has this to say to you all: “I’m so sorry not to be able to do the voice over for The Yorkshire Vet right now, but I can’t tell you all how delighted I am that Peter is taking over. He most definitely would be my first choice while I’m in lockdown!”

Peter probably needs no introduction for most of you, being a legend of the industry. He's not just for a former TV vet - he also played The Doctor. And he’s been recording The Yorkshire Vet in a makeshift home studio soundproofed by duvets … a kind of 10.5 Tog TARDIS!

We’re sure you’ll give him a grand Yorkshire Vet welcome to your living rooms on Tuesday. Stay safe and we hope you continue to enjoy the series we love making. "
